Gotta love a Juju Hat!

My latest interior love is Juju hats. They are such a beautiful trend and are so pretty in any space! Not only are they so striking, what I love about them is their story. Its been said that during royal court affairs, the celebrants of far off African kingdoms wear a spectacular headdress known as the Juju hat. The hat is worn by the chiefs, senior dignitaries, prominent officials and important dancers. Totally to die for and a talking point, what all good d├ęcor should be!
Table Tonic have an amazing range, so check all the colour and gorgeousness there!

Designer Profile: Samantha Pynn

Sal over at Once.Daily.Chic constantly inspires me and recently she had some gorgeous kitchen inspiration featuring the work of Samantha Pynn. Samantha Pynn is a highly successful stylist and decorator based between New York and Toronto. Pynn started her career 11 years ago as a scout locator and with hard work, quickly paved her own way in the design world and became host and principal designer of Pure Design on HGTV, Contributing Design Editor for Style at Home magazine and a columnist for the National Post. As you can see from these pix, she is seriously talented and very versatile!

Designer Profile: Caitlin Wilson Design

I LOVE Caitlin Wilson's work! She is s versatile and recently shared this gorgeous apartment that she worked on with a client, Lulu, in Dubai. As mentioned (just a few times!) before, I just love any pink, especially fuschia or hot pink! And Caitlin has very cleverly infused this colour scheme with various shades of blue! Clever indeed! For more of Caitlin's amazing work her to her website or check out her blog.

I Love Ikat!

Ikat seems to be everywhere at the moment! While on my Etsy travels I found some gorgeous calling cards which feature Ikat designs, Pixel Impress are doing a beautiful job all round using Ikat as well as one of my other fabric favourites, Chevron. Head over to check out more of these 'seriously cute paper goods'.

Collect What You Love...

I really believe in the notion that you should buy or collect what you love and make it work in your space. I LOVE Eiffel Towers and have been building on my collection for a couple of years so these images that I found at Belle Vivir totally resonated with me. This collection of the landmark puts mine to shame.

Fuschia, Fuschia, Fuschia

For a long time I have loved Fuschia (or pink in general) but haven't really had the courage to actually use it in my space for the risk that it might come off all wrong and totally, well, juvenile but I have been more and more inspired through working on shoots and reading all the gorgeous blogs out there!
This also provoked some thought, which Abigail Ahern commented on, which she read in the Wall Street Journal. “It is funny how during the moneyed years of the ’90s everything was so chic—a bland, porridge-y mixture of oatmeal and flaxen tones. As the wealth evaporated, it seems that we turned to colour; I find that we all generally care a little less about how perfectly chic our houses are and more about how bright, comfortable and soulful they are”.
Here are the two pics that totally did it for me and cemented the idea. I have started some DIY to turn my board, which you see here, into reality, and with each project or purchase I am getting more and more excited!

Jenna Lyon's Brooklyn Brownstone

Jenna Lyon, J.Crew's Creative Director, has done such a gorgeous job of her home! I love the kitchen and the use of the wallpaper on the ceiling of the nursery, a good reminder that all rooms have '5 walls'. I am also loving that the black pairs back so perfectly with the yellow in the nursery, absolutely amazing!
